Scenes of awkwardness in the life of Allison

I tend to get really varied reactions to the fact that I'm in the military. Some friends of mine treat it like a long standing joke- calling me a paper-pusher, insinuating that it's not the "real" military and dragging up every stereo type available about Air Force reservists. Working for Congresswoman Bachmann has been the opposite end of the spectrum where my co-workers treat me as though I personally captured Saddam Hussein.

I'm not sure which end of the spectrum makes me more uncomfortable.
